Blog Post #2- Se7en Movie Review
Se7en
I've recently watched the movie Se7en recommended to me by a friend. Se7en is a movie that came out in 1995 directed by David Fincher with famous stars such as but not limited to, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, and Gwyneth Paltrow. It won MTV's movie of the year award in 1996 knocking off "Apollo 13," Braveheart," "Clueless," and "Dangerous Minds" to grab the Golden Popcorn.
Overview
This film is about a string of deadly murders inspired by the seven deadly sins of the Christian bible. If you don't know, the seven deadly sins are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride.
Not necessarily a horror film, I would say its more of a crime, mystery, and psychological thriller. But some aspects of the movie is definitely gory. This movie captivates the audience's attention with scenes that will make you sit on the edge of your seat. This is a spoiler-free review, so if you would like to know more, I recommend watching the movie to find out the twist ending.
Final Thoughts
In my opinion, this movie's ending really teaches us about the very human instincts we have and the cause and effect of the choices we make in life. Throughout the movie Detective William Somerset, the main character is tested on the decision he makes. In conclusion, the determining decision he makes reveals a part of himself and if you really think about it, it also reveals the nature of human beings.
Overall I would rate this movie an eight out of ten.

I remember this movie. The scene with the head in the box left a lasting memory. This was back when Brad was hot and he was dating Gwyneth Paltrow. Great post I have to watch this movie again!
